General Employment Conditions

Drug-Free and Alcohol Free Workplace

Selected candidate must be able to comply with Mason Transit’s Drug and Alcohol Policy, which includes federally mandated random drug and alcohol testing for safety-sentisive employees throughout employment.

Motor Vehicle Driver’s License

If the position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, selected candidate must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver’s License and must maintain an acceptable dirivng record level throughout employment as monitored by periodic reviews of driving record.

Commercial Driver’s License

If the position requires the operation of a commercial motor vehicle, selected candidate must possess or be able to obtain (within established time frame) a valid Commercial Driver’s License (with appropriate classification and endorsements) and must be able to comply with the provisions of the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1988.

Criminal Background Check

Selected candidates for all positions must be willing to submit to a criminal background investigation, the results of which must meet Mason Transit’s hiring criteria.
