Mason Transit going to McCleary!

February 5, 2024

SHELTON, WA-Mason Transit is trying a Pilot route from the Shelton Transit-Community Center (T-CC) to McCleary, starting February 19, 2024.  We want to help passengers get to and from McCleary, without having to travel to Olympia first.

Initially, there will be two runs from Shelton to McCleary and back, plus the two provided by Squaxin Transit from the Kamilche Transit Center to the McCleary Transit Center.

Mud Bay Park & Ride now serviced by MTA Route 6

February 5, 2024

SHELTON, WA-Mason Transit will now service the Mud Bay Park & Ride (just off Hwy 101 at Mud Bay Rd and Madrona Beach Rd) on their way into and out of Olympia. Just call ahead at 360-427-5033. Check out our Route 6 time schedule for service times and map.

The Route 6 runs from Shelton to Olympia and back 13 times a day from 5:30 am through 5:30 pm, M-F, and 9:30 am through 5:30 pm on Saturday.

10 minutes to Wallace Kneeland on the ZIPPER

October 19, 2023

SHELTON, WA-Mason Transit can get you from downtown to Wallace Kneeland and back, in less than 10 minutes each way.

The ZIPPER loops through Shelton 13 times every day, M-F, beginning at 9:40 am and last run at 3:40 pm.

The ZIPPER is a quick route beginning at the Transit-Community Center (T-CC) and takes you to Wallace Kneeland with limited stops at the Shelton Library, and on Olympic Hwy North at E St. and I St.

The ZIPPER leaves Wallace Kneeland Taco Bell and can stop at Shelton Springs Rd., Veteran’s Village, Northcliff, and the courthouse on 4th. See ZIPPER time schedule HERE.

Try our Dial-A-Ride scheduling App!

You can now schedule and manage your Dial-a-Rides from a computer or your mobile device. Mason Transit riders now have the power of Ecolane at their fingertips. Schedule or cancel your rides, and set up text alerts to let you know when your bus is almost there to pick you up. All you need is a valid email address. Call customer service at 360-427-5033 and tell them you want to set up the self service feature.

Mason Transit Vehicles Open to Full Capacity

Mason Transit Authority is opening all seats on its vehicles starting today. Please note: Face coverings are still required inside transit vehicles and inside any transit building. This federal mask order is in place through Sept. 13.
