Riding The Bus  
 

FARES & PASSES

Mason Transit implemented a fare increase on its regional connections to Olympia, Bremerton and Brinnon effective January 1, 2009.

Travel within Mason County is free.

Please be prepared to show your pass each time you board a Mason Transit bus or pay the exact fare when traveling outside of Mason County, as our drivers cannot make change.

 

Travel within Mason County   No charge
Traveling outside of Mason County to and from Olympia, Brinnon, Bremerton Adult & Youth One-Way = $1.50
Seniors & Persons with Disabilities = $.50
Children Five and Under No charge
Adult Monthly Pass for Out-of-County Travel $28.00
Youth (ages 6-17) Monthly Pass for Out-of-County Travel $18.00
Summer Youth Adventure Pass - Good from Memorial Day thru Labor Day $13.00
Senior and Persons with Disabilities $9.00

Discounted fares on transits around Puget Sound and the Ferries for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities

Active Duty Military personnel with Current Military ID No charge

Pass by Mail

Contact the Mason Transit Administrative Offices to receive forms and envelopes to order your monthly pass by mail. Please allow five business days for processing.


ORCA Passes
 
Mason Transit does not accept ORCA cards for payment of fares.

Reduced Fare Permits

If you’re a senior or a person with a disability, you can ride for less when you use public transportation services to travel around Puget Sound. The Regional Reduced Fare Permit (RRFP) is an ID card that entitles you to discount fares on thirteen transportation systems throughout the Puget Sound region. All have wheelchair accessible services. Just show your card when boarding the ferries or any regular bus route (fixed-route).
