Trip Planning

Planning Your Trip

You’ve got multiple options for planning your trip(s) on public transit throughout Mason County, WA and the greater Puget Sound area, including online trip planners, by telephone, or in person at our Transit-Community Center downtown Shelton, WA. If you’ve never used public transit, or are just unsure of certain aspects like making a transfer, we offer free travel training as well as custom planning assistance over the phone or in person at our Transit-Community Center Lobby.

Online Trip Planner

The Google Transit trip planner featured below and on our website homepage, etc. is powered by Google. Google’s trip planner application enables you to enter the specifics of your trip, like your origin and your destination, and the time of day you’d like to leave and/or arrive, and then uses all available public transportation schedules and information to plot out the most efficient step-by-step transit itinerary. You can even compare the cost of your trip with the cost of driving the same route. Advance options are also available to help customize your route based on your personal preferences. For example, you might not mind a longer journey if it means few transfers or less walking time. You can specify these preferences and alter your route results by clicking the “show options” when your trip information pops up.

Please note, Google’s trip planner does not track sidewalks that may be closed due to construction or areas inaccessible for mobility devices. Additionally, the trip planner cannot be used for demand-response services like our Dial-a-Ride. It only contains planning information for our regular routes. Contact our customer service team directly to help you plan your trip if needed.
